Should I take my car with me when I move overseas?

In general, vehicles can be shipped as part of your personal items.

You should get any cars, motor bikes, push bikes, boats, trailers and the like steam cleaned before shipping.

You will also need to drain these items of all fuel, and disconnect any batteries (these are international shipping requirements); and you should also place sufficient cartons or other items underneath any vehicles and the like just in case of any oil leaks.

If we used a shipping line container, then you are responsible for all costs to clean the container after use.

So, any oil spills/stains you would pay for.

You should be able to pack items inside your motor vehicle.

Please make sure that any vehicles are tightly secured inside the container to prevent any movement and damage to the vehicles themselves, and any other cargo in the container.
